Help!? Seed not opening completely, stuck to seedling leaves..

Hey guys!
One of my seeds (Underdawg OG) sprouted a few days ago but the seed is not opening up completely like the other plants i have.. What should i do? give it some more time? or try to open the seed up myself?
this is my first grow so any advice would be much appreciated!

Keep the shell moist with a spray bottle. When this happens to me I try to make sure there is a water droplet sitting on the shell. I come back a couple hours later and respray. After a day the shell softens up real good if you have kept it moist. You can pull it off with tweasers or it will just shed off itself.

Leave alone and mist it a couple of times a day.........but........whatever you do don't try and pry it off.......like previously posted it's the membrane that's holding it on ......patience is key........

The shell usually falls off by itself. Sometimes it takes a little patience, sometimes a little help. I have had shells that just wouldn't let go, they actually caused damage by "biting" into the first set of real leaves. But looking at the big picture - that was no big deal! The fact is; you can do more damage by trying to remove a "stubborn" shell, than letting it remain.

Sometimes the shells are not really attached, they are fully open and just just sitting on top like a baseball cap - it's ok to just flick these off.

But if a shell is clamped on good, let it be! The wost that can happen is that it might "bite off" part of a leaf. A clumsy removal could mean a dead seedling. I know cause I have done it. Experience is the best teacher!

Some times we need to "help" the seedling - what happened to you is because the seed was planted to close to the top of soil (not deep enough). anyway use toothpicks
,ect to remove shell - common thing

I would not mist the seedling. Simply leave it alone and be patient. The odds are that It will pop out on it's own.

Damp off means overwater......
It is a plant disease occurring in excessively damp conditions.

What is damping off?
Damping off — a horticultural disease caused by numerous fungi and other pathogens — can move through an entire tray of seedlings in a matter of days. It is probably the single biggest problem for gardeners who start their seedlings indoors.

SYMPTOMS
The first evidence of damping-off or seed piece decay (as in potatoes) is the failure of some plants to emerge. If seeds are attacked before they germinate, they become soft and mushy, turn dark brown, and decay. They may have a layer of soil clinging to them when they are dug up because the soil is interwoven with fine, threadlike fungus growth. Germinating seedlings shrivel and may darken. If seedlings are attacked after they emerge, stem tissue near the soil line is decayed and weakened, usually causing plants to topple and die. When only roots are decayed, plants may continue standing but remain stunted, wilt and eventually die. As seedlings get older, they become less susceptible to damping-off pathogens.

In Hinduism, the river Ganga is considered sacred and is personified as a goddess known as Ganga

I had the same problem... Leave it alone if you can, but if your daring like me try to take the shell of SUPER easy and gentile or you will probly kill it. I took mine off and it was fine. Act like your doing brain surgery. But as I said do so if you are willing to risk it, if not leave it alone and it should come off when it's ready.
