as the title says my seeds never sprout, i germinate all of them and the roots come out. I had 7 seeds, lost 4 already, have 1 stored (so i can success in this), 1 germing, and 1 in the medium. the 1 in the medium has been in there for 4 days now. The previous 4 i think i used hps too soon (right when i planted them) and dried it out then killed the seeds. the 1 in the medium i put saran wrap on it and have 2 26 w lights on top.

what am i doing wrong??
+rep for help :peace:

I've had the same problem with my seedlings before. Some will germinate, sprout then after transplanted only a few of the few I transplanted actually came up. Don't worry I've read this can be sometimes typical.
Can take anywhere from 2-11 days sometimes befor they emerge from the soil.
Generally if they haven't made it up after 4 days they have a higher % of not emerging at all. So keep faith.
Also only put your seedlings in about down to your first digit on your middle finger, lightly cover with the soil. Water them and this will flush soil over them as well. thenwhen they get around two to four inches tall put a lil more soil around the stalk....
Good luck.

Are you waiting like 2 or 3 days and then just scraping them? I've had seeds take 7 days to sprout after germination.... give it time, and keep the soil lightly moist.

just take a tooth pic and only put the tail in the soil. keep the soil slightly moist and it should start to push up the seed and the shell will just fall off and your on your way

i scraped the seeds before this 1, because it was dry and the temp was over 90.
i have 1/3 scotts premium soil 1/3 peat moss 1/3 pearlite

If your temp and technique is right they should have a tail between 24-48 hours.I usually germ in complete darkness in a small Rubbermaid container.Place the seeds in a high quality towel and mist them.Never above 80F.When the seeds are cracked I put the top of the seed flush with the mix.Even after all these years I still kill a batch every now and then.So don't feel bad.Keep the Mix or Cubes and misting bottle warm awaiting planting.Sometimes the hulls dont want to let go but a mist or two should get it off.Dont try to help it come off because the seedlings are so tender.Let Nature take its course bro and good luck.
