Hi I am setting up a grow space separated into two areas or 5.7 square feet each.
I have worked out that I need 8 of the 56cm f series gen 3 strips to cover the flowering area giving me 36watts a square foot and 206.4w total. With the strips wired in series this comes to 184v and 1120mA current and in parallel its 23v and 8960mA current.
For the veg area 6 strips will do the job giving me 27.15watts a square foot and 154.8w total. With the strips wired in series this comes to 138v and 1120mA current and in parallel its 23v and 6720mA current.
I would need some help with driver selection. I had been looking at a meanwell HLG-240H-24 which is a constant current and voltage driver rated at 240w and with the strips wired in parallel puts in the adjustment range for constant current and voltage. I am assuming with the A type driver I can use the pot to dial one driver down to the 200w or so I need for flower and the other driver down to 155w or so for veg.
I have also been looking at an HLG-240H-C1050 constant current driver which would allow me to wire in series but its current adjustment range only goes up to 1050mA which is less than the 1120mA I want to run them at. I could add an extra strip to each section to make up the deficit though and still be within the voltage range for this driver.
Which driver should I choose, and am I going about this the right way?
Thanks
