I have 5 bug Buddha planted from seed. Germinated then into small cups for week and half then transplanted into 3 gallon pots with coco. My problem is I think some of them may have been rootbound as since they have been transplanted there is very little new growth. Where as two are growing fine. Should I unearth one to check on the root growth any advice will b appreciated

NO!!!

What is happening now is that your plants are sending out roots into the new pot before continuing their above ground growth.

Just be patient they will continue on when they are ready.

They can't possibly be root bound at this point. Just give them time to adjust to the transplant. Some plants get shocked more than others and take longer to recover and start growing

They have been transplanted now for over two weeks. Is there a possibility that they could be rootbound. And if so what could I do to sort out this problem now they have been transplanted or am I screwed.

No they are probably not root bound. Have patience, if they look green and healthy then don't worry about it and don't start thinking up problems..

Did you gently loosen up a few of the roots? That could be influencing how quick they get back to their full speed. As said, if they look good they are good.

I had a time or two when I went too long on a transplant and saw the circleing of roots. I took a clean razor and scored from top to bottom. Works like a charm.

Yep I had circleing on one and I cut an X on the bottom w/a clean razor blade and it helps develop downward growth...g/l..
