Help with an indoor grow and smell issues.

I recently moved to a new place and got new rooms mates now i want to carry on my grow with in my new home, now i need a good pointer i will be growing in a small space with no real room for anything to big. Any pointers on somthing small and efficient that will help me.

how small is the space

Very its enougth to get what i need in there fans lights ect but not enougth for any sort of extraction system. its like a side cupboard i havent done exact measurements yet.
