help with Drying small amount in cardboard box?

The house I'm living in doesn't have a humidifier. The RH is under 25% and the most I can raise it is 30 with a cool mist humidifier.

I chopped a flowered clone wet weight about 24 grams. Trumned it and put it in a small mailing box 6x6x6 taped it up and placed inside plastic grocery bag.

My question is does it need airflow? Do I cut a vent somewhere on the box?

How long should I wait before checking on it?

Normally you would hang it humidity 60% dark cool a little air movement,

When i had a single tent i would get a big box (like the one your carbon filter comes in) drill holes all over in the box and make a little dowel hanger to hang the buds in it.

That way it didn't get exposed to the grow light and it had a gentle air flow to help it dry. I would check it out and move it around every day until it was dry enough to jar. Usually 5 to 7 days

If you put wet green bud in a sealed container without airflow, you will end up with something that looks like that mystery container in the far reaches of your refrigerator.

Airflow is important. Don't seal your weed in anything when it's wet.

Consider getting a thermometer that also reads humidity levels. That way you can create a micro drying environment and know the humidity level inside your drying place at a glance. Your weed won't care what the relative humidity is in the rest of your house, it only cares about what the relative humidity level is in the drying box or drying closet or drying room etc.

If you need to INCREASE humidity, a wet towel or tray of water placed near, not on, the weed can temporarily raise humidity levels. Obviously this needs some monitoring, and should only be done if you have low humidity to start with and a larger drying space. Adding humidity via the wet towel etc. is probably not a good idea if you're drying a small amount, just tweak the hole size of your box, by opening or covering the holes as the humidity level changes. Duct tape for the win.

If using a closet or a bureau drawer, open or close the door or drawer to achieve the right humidity etc.
