Yesterday I built my first DWC setup. Got an 250 l/h air pump, air stones and a 4 liter tank. I use bottled mineral water with PH 7.8, passed thru home Brita filter jar which lowers the PH to 6.3. Added very light mix of Biobizz nutes. After adding the nutes, PH became 6.0 and 3 liters of this went into the tank.
The setup started to run at 10 PM with PH of 6.0. At 11 AM the PH jumped to 7.8. I lowered it with nitric acid to PH 6.0. At 8 PM the PH was back up to 7.3, I have lowered it again to 5.5. After two hours at 10 PM the PH was back to 7.1 and again I lowered it to 5.8. After 30 minutes the PH is back to 6.9. Altogether, during the past 24 hours I had to use about 25 drops of PH down.
Any ideas?
