Help With Hanging Hoods Please.

My lights are on a pulley rope system with one main hook screwed into the stud, one rope per light. I am afraid that 1 hook will not hold each light, should I have two hooks to distribute the weight? How do you guys have your hoods hung? Thank you.:leaf::leaf:

I use tie down straps from Home depot. $10 for 4 of them and use 2 per hood, I'm using XXXLs. At $5 per light, I could not find a cheaper easier to use option. Also very easy to raise and lower.

I secure them to the ceiling joists with heavy duty screw eyes. Something like this:

I use these screw eyes for everything. Much easier to zip tie/bungee cord everything to these because grows get rearranged so often. I don't do anything permanent anymore. I have lots of unused screw eyes stuck all over the place now though :/.

i buy zipties in bulk now too ...lmfao, those eye hooks are awesome i use those too, but like the self tapping ones better than the flat tip

Thank you very much, this is exactly what I was looking for . Errr ya, I have 1 screw eye per light, 2 with those tie down straps would be perfect. How do I install the screw eyes, drill a small hole first and then hand screw them in, or is there an attachment for and electronic drill/screwdriver to screw them in ?

you might be able to screw the eye bolt right into the chuck of the drill and drill them in like that, if they don't fit, a good pilot hole first would be the way to go for sure...
i'd think that one eye bolt per side of the light would be plenty of support, so long as they're going into a stud, you should be golden..
