im having trouble trying to find the stain.

I would guess that it is an indica, judging from the thick leaves, but other than that you can't really tell what strain a plant is just from looking at the plant.

Actually, the first picture you showed looks like a sativa, and the second plant looks indica. If they are the same strain it could just be that the one in the first picture is extremely unhealthy.
