does any one think it is a good idea to put a little heater in my 5 by 5 grow room

That's a very broad question. Can you give us more info? Is it a "do-it-all" room, a clone room, a veg room, or a flowering room? What's in the room and what are the current day and night temps? It's hard to give you any advice without details about what you have going on and what you're trying to achieve.
