Hermie plants and your thoughts.

So this is a bit of a new one for me. My first hermie plant. It is a NastyNugz Nerdy Pak (Purple Erkle x Pakistan Chitral Kush) grown from a regular seed. I stressed it when I first got it for two days with changing light while I was getting things organized and I'm sure that's what caused it so I know full well that it's my fault. Once I saw the nanners I thought long and hard about tossing it but I really like it and I'm not a production guy, I'm not a serious smoker, I'm not into this for $ (If I was I'm already starting in a deep, deep, deep hole). I'm a guy that likes to grow more than smoke at this point in my life (that will change as I grow older and and the kids do too). I just love, LOVE, LOVE growing cannabis and tons of other plants as well as well as this community here. What a bunch of great guys/gals.

Soooooo....now that I have bored everyone with that opening statement, I had this plant go hermie. I was going to toss it but I read a post HERE and really liked what Trousers had to say. This is a stress induced plant and it won't impact the DNA of the plant, it will just basically roll forward the fact that when stress induced it could hermie plus it will be fem seeds and I just essentially creating an F1 of the mother/father. I can live with that for my own self. And if I was to give seed to anyone seeds I would for sure explain exactly what happend. I'm in this for fun not drama and bullshit, besides I saw in the news the other day that if this plant went to certain schools it would soon be getting it's own locker room and bathroom. :D

Soooooooooooooo...now that I have bored you even more with that second paragraph, what your thoughts on hermie plants? Have you let them go to seed? Have you bred them? Have you back crossed them? Do you just toss them?

Here is the culprit covered in pollen from the fan. Look at those giant nuts.

Dam, that sucks man. You know I don't have a clue what to do, just offering moral support :-) considering how harsh I've been on my plants, I wouldn't doubt that I see this also.

I think you may be jumping the gun on the 'herm' diagnosis. I see nothing to indicate male flowers. Male flowers look like tiny bananas, thus the term "nanners". That "nut" toward the top o the pic is a female calyx. Nice work!

Nanners. Not manners.

I think there may be pollen there to, does that big ass ball there have pistols tho? It looks like it does... I've had plants that started out w some internals that were m/f w the nanners on the inside of the calyx. (Tahoe og) but the cuts are still being run and loved by many.. Id say pluck it off and do an autopsy. Heres what I found when I observed said calyx:

Sometimes the pollen is steryl and not anything to worry about. Youll kno in a few days if pistols start running red and receding. Might as well wait, if it is a herm its already pollenated the whole room and you'll have to make that tuff decision anyway, but it might b ok. Sup to u tho...

To tell the truth I don't see any signs of male sacks at all, I think you should wait a little longer before jumping the gun.

DeeTee, ayup I will. Oh, and can you please look me in the eye when you talk to me instead of staring just at my noobs? :P

If it has two hairs growing out of it it's not a pollen sac.

These are pollen sacs

No hairs. Has a distinct shape that has visible lines where the pod will rip apart when sac opens. Spaceship like. Nanners I believe is what grows out of the actual bud, and have a banana shape to them. But that powdery substance is suspicious but if you can't find a pollen sac it ain't pollen.
