It is scary looking. Barnabas from Dark Shadows demon possessed spookyhomely.
I realize all the beanmakers are doing it, but if they jumped into a fire, would you?

It all looks like homoerotic art to me and you know what they say about ducks.

I got a question for swerve, The Pre-98 bubba bx is it a backcross of the katsu cut. When you were doing the backcrossing what other strains are crossed with it.

I ran the pre-98 fem and it was mediocre compared to what I expected. The Larry was bomb as hell but hermed really bad. I got a good cross from the the pollen hitting my Lost Coast og though.

You would think being swerve (cuz hes from cali) he wouldnt want his pic for all of the world to see, plus thats all the DEA needs to prove hes making beans

I'm pretty sure he's on the wagon of breeders moving to legal spots. Not that what he does is really breeding... But he does have 2 seed shops in Amsterdam now. Wouldn't be surprised if his op is in Europe...

Oh wow, nice shot. Are we going to have a pollen chunker war? My OG that I got from someone else and use for pollen chunking is better than the OG you got from someone else and use for pollen chunking?!

Kind of hard to make fun of someone "breeding" when you two companies have the same philosophy. "Cross our OG we got from someone else and didnt create ourselves, to every other strain we can get our hands on that we didnt create but also got from someone else". If anything Rare D is even worse, they have like 200 strains now, no chance they could have spent any real time on any of those. Simply hitting strains with their OGs.

That how it is now, take an elite clone and chuck away, a lot of times it works great. It used to be a matter of breeders sorting through hundreds of plants and choosing the best. But now with websites like this people start trading and next thing you know everyone is an expert breeder. Its funny that OG is so good that anyone with the right cut can make some decent seeds and some are great. I can't wait for the next great thing to come around so everyone can pretend they breed that. The best part is most of these so called elite lines were created by mistake and can't be duplicated. Times are a changing.

You fellas make some great points. I dunno where you draw the line between breeder and pollen chucker.
Maybe the best thing to do is to call them all beanmakers. Some beanmakers are better then others but they are all beanmakers.
It would make for a cool union. Beanmakers local#420

Except that rare D doesn't force plants to herm and hit every OG with the hermie pollen like swerve does. How many female clone only multi hybrids does Cali connection have? Scott doesn't believe in feminized breeding. The males he uses to hit plants with are from original genetics obtained by him or good males from other breeders work crossed to something elite. Feminized seeds are garbage, especially from such hermie prone strains.

And what you say is false, not a single RD strain uses OG pollen. The OG is always the mom. Stop spreading misinformation.

Well, its not like the guy doesn't make public appearances (eg at cups and so forth).

Anyway, I'd hope the DEA needs a "little" bit more than someone's photograph as evidence of cultivation/manufacture in a court of law!

The only thing this picture "proves" is that someone at attitude put his photo on their website for 20 minutes.

Hell, he himself may not even have had anything to do with it!

It sure as heck doesn't prove that he broke (or is breaking) the law.

Believe it or not, there ARE places on the planet where the American DEA doesn't have jurisdiction, and in some of them, its even legal to create cannabis seeds!

That's arbitrary, but I'd say you can't call yourself a "breeder" at LEAST until you've taken a line through an F5 generation.

If you've just crossed strain "A" with strain "B" to make an F1 hybrid which you've given your own name to, well, that is pretty much THE definition of a "pollen chucker".
