High pressure nozzles and pump selection

those pumps in your links are probably electric solenoid pumps, basically works like regular magnetic solenoids, as they get power piston will move back and worth depending what hertz it got.
these pump most are very loud and can emit noise easily to behind next wall. another thing these pumps are the weak point of espresso machines and usually fails first. its made for use of short time - i´m pretty sure that in continues use it will heat up quickly and break off.
best pump for pressure systems in misting and overall reliability is diaphragm pump made for spraying applications what can cost easily 300-500$, mostly bypass pumps and made for factory use so they most are noisy.
i use aquatec booster pump model 8800, they are about 90$ in ebay whit out transformers, it is whisper quiet as its little brother 6800 model.
people say its most money worth pump for true aeroponic growing, and have reported to last over 2 years if treated right.

that was my concern. Being a piston pump it is loud and also not designed to last long period only designed to last for short period of time. The booster pump is a great idea. I also was considering trying to do a fog set up. Not sure it would be a cheaper solution / better solution.

As of now I'm just going to be using a low pressure sprayer . But in the coming months I plan on upgrading my system . Funny thing is I'm still waiting for my parts to come in for my first system and I'm already considering upgrading. Thinking ahead :)

i have fogger in my setup beside misters, its great. as i can root clones straight to system it also helps new root growth and have droplets of under 10 micron size to deliver moisture and wash roots from buildups, it also will travel up to roots and inside of root ball.
you just have to have different container for fogger as it will break nutrients and heat up reservoir and i have not seen fogger setup as standalone used as hole grow cycle. i have 2 gallon bucket wich have pc fan to push on lid and two former hoover hoses to deliver mist to root zone, it also dilutes the ec as mist bring more water in slow pace, don´t buy one whit led´s cause they produce a lot of heat.88

Very interesting threads. It actually brought something to my attention. It states that the optimal temperature of the root zone should be 68 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm sure this will also apply to LAAG systems Which is the system I'm starting out with (Lo-pressure AeroAssisted Growing).

Maybe I can use Thermoelectric cooling (Peltier effect). I can use the heating and cooling in conjunction with a temperature regulating circuit . I'm sure I wouldn't be using too much of the heated side of the metel as much as the cold side. But it's cool to have both options.

The question is, how do I maintain these temperatures in the root zone? It's not so much the problem of the electronics to maintain a stable root zone as much as what I use to maintain the root zone temperature. As I am a bit of an electronic and programming engineer . Gotta love them Arduino's :)


Any idea's on the way to cool the system?

aquarium chillers will do the trick, also if you live in country side and have some yard , you could dig hose to ground , enough deep and just circulate water whit water pump.
or buy cheap small freezer and cut holes to garden hose to door or back of it, then loop hose inside of freezer.
if you live in cold country like me, you don´t necessary need chiller if you do proper insulation to root chamber and reservoir, many times temp drops when the plants grow and shade the containers - so direct measuring whit out plants can be miss leading.

I'm sure I can find this question in the forums. but. In TAG the Timing cycles between on and off are 20-30 sec on 3-4 min of. Will this be the same with LAAG system?
