High Pressure Sodium Question.

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering what base/fitting HPS lamps use, I cannot for the life of me find a Base for a HPS lamp that has a wire with a standard UK 3pin plug on the end...

I have had no problems (well a few.. Thanks MR.West =)) finding E40 bases wired to a U.K 3 PIN plug that I can use with my envirolite 250Watt Blue CFL but when I get into the bloom stage I want to use a HPS lamp and I have no idea on how to set one up..

Could anyone help?

er, not in the UK, so i have no idea... but you are going to need a ballast and a hood for your HPS... maybe those terms will help you on Google.

I am many things, an electrician is not one of them. If price is an issue, try to buy used. I bought all used equipment and saved a bundle. All I had to do was buy new bulbs.

I bought my last bit of kit from greens.

theres a spot under the grow FAQ about rewiring the setup for UK plugs. i think thats the only way to get them switched. havent heard of any other way.
