Ok I get how to make the the system. but I have a few questions

First do the 5 gallon pales or rubbermade storage bins have to be black. because they come in white and a dark blue. would that be ok.

Is to much air bubbling bad or is the more better.
Also when you change the res what do you do with the plant , just let it sit out of the system for a couple of mins
Any other info is always great.

Oh ya to anyone thinking of going hydro dont buy a system like I did to find out how easy and cheap it is to make your own:oops:

Alot of the rubber made bins will still let alittle light in,(even the dark blue ones), so get some good blk spray paint and hit it with it, " just to be sure."..

when you change the res leave the plants sitting out - they'll be alright for about ten minutes or so, long enough to change the res in any case. it's known as an air bath and various users, such as roseman in the bubbleponics forum have found it actually causes a growth spurt. indeed, roseman recommends just emptying your res and refilling it with the same water once a week in what he calls a drain and replenish.

head over to the forum for more info, any questions will be answered within the hour in the stealth hydroponics thread
