Homemade co2 sprayer

I have been using this ever since i started my homemade growbox... And i find it works quite well.. Things you will need, spray bottle(anything you can unscrew), baking soda, vinegar, scissors, This is simple.. Unscrew the spray bottle.. With scissors cut the tube that brings up liquid to be sprayed right off.. Add vinegar and baking soda.. Screw the cap on and shake it... Let it sit for a minute and spray the plants with the co2 that the baking soda and vinegar made..( NOT THE LIQUID) I do this up to 3 times a day and it seems to help alot. ;)

I gallon jug with a hole drilled in the cap, 4 cups sugar,2 tablespoons yeast. fill half full of water. place in grow room or near plant. Shake it when ever you feel like it (with thumb over hole in cap), till it gets pressurized. set down and leave room. Could also use (you do the math) the spay bottle with this. Actually smells like a micro brew in my room now....lol

ok so what if i can only check my plant once a day and can't take the jug out during the night cycle would it be better to use the spry bottle method once a day when i check the plant

Even if checking once a day, you can just leave it in the room. It will still produce co2, just not as much as when its shaken. proper air flow in the room is also key as a co2 rich enviroment may be good for plants, not so much humans. I just leave my jug right next to my plant, shake it once twice, three times. as many times as i go in a day, i give it a shake.

so you leave it in at night to i thought that was bad

Ya, it doesn't really matter how much vinegar or baking soda you use... If your not able to check your grow room very often then the yeast and sugar method might be better for you :)

youre supposed to supplement the co2 when the lights are off..
also regular yeast wont work because it kills itself when it produces alcohol. you would have to use brewers yeast even then it kills itself when it gets to 10-12% alcohol content

I like the creativity of the spray bottle thing.. What if i just mixed up some soda and vinegar in an open bowl or something and let it fizzle in the tent, would that produce the same results? I was thinking of doing that and leaving my exhaust fan off for like 20 minutes or so. what do you think?

Ya, actually if you feel like making it into a project you could fill a bowl with baking soda and rig up a vinegar drip system... So it will drip into the bowl of baking soda every couple of minutes.. If you experiment with it you can tune how much vinegar you want to drip out.. Therefore controlling the co2 output :)

Actually you are supposed to supplement when the lights are on. The plants use the CO2 during photosynthesis. CO2 used during lights off does not hurt the plants but it does not help them either.
