Right, after spending several hours researching nutes, and composts available around my area, I've made a desicion that's also had to take into account my budget and my methods! Starting off on a windowsill. Then going into tent to veg with 250w MH lamp and ballast at 18/6. Then upping to the 400w philips green power lamp with ballast etc and changing for flowering stage to 12/12.

I will be purchasing ; cal mag, bio grow, bio bloom. With the bio bizz light and bio bizz all mix soil. Will also buy extra perlite to use as drainage in bottom of pots!

Ive already got pk 13/14 for flowering, cannazym and boost accelorater!

Sound okay? Just in terms of nutes and soil! I have a complete tent set up and hoping to grow 1-2 auto plants first off then move onto 12+ weekers!

If you are on a budget then stay away from the bottled up nutes. Invest that money in equipment! You need to do a little reading into recycled organic living soil (ROLS). You will need a natural base soil, compost and maybe a little perlite to get you started. Read up on this thread and not only will you grow the best tasting stuff on earth but you will do it in a way that makes your wallet happy!

Are you using the 250w to save money on electricity? I personally would go with the 400w right away. Give them all the light you got, as soon as you can. You'll get better results:peace:

Agree with the above 2 posters. Don't waste money on nutes! Invest in lights and equipment. The more light(s) the better. You can get soilless medium and perlite cheap. And ferts/nutes, if and when needed, fairly cheap too. Or, use the suggested ROLS grow medium. My 2 cents would be to put most of your $ in lights :bigjoint: 400w the hot set up...600w...right fukin on man!...1000w...now yer cookin with gas! :eyesmoke: It's one of those early med mornings bongsmilie

Good luck with your grow!

You said honest opinions..

Have you ever grown a plant?

You just don't need all that 'stuff'. I mean it is fine if you want to, and can afford to squander resources.. but a good gardener will be able to max out their plants in that space under that light using a simple all in one fert like Jacks.. (even Miracle grow if you read the instructions and don't abuse it).

If you are a new grower, with all that goop to put on your plants you will probably create more problems than you needed.

Embelish your soil.. simple things like toss in some garden lime, you will NEVER need cal/mag unless you start locking it out by adding too much stuff. Keep it simple.. that is what the plant wants.. simple and to be left alone to do it's thing.
