Honey substituting molasses?

hey, i would like to try using honey for a little help cause i have no molasses around...

should i mix the honey in water next time i water?
or can i just put a bunch of honey on the soil? < just wondering

I wouldn't put it on top of the soil. But it's been a while since you asked and I think you prolly thought better of it. Hope your grass turned out nice!
