actual soda. caffeine free. what i do with my plant is give it about 1/2 a cup every 2-3 mornings, then water it afterwards. the soda has carbohydrates and phosphorus in it which are both good for flowering. i didnt give my plant any nutes for a while cuz i didnt know what to give it and its buds were really tiny. then i started giving it soda and the buds have gotten bigger everyday.

I still don't know what you mean by "soda". Explain please. And in some places honey is a lot cheaper than molasses, if you can get molasses at all that is.

Pretty sure he's fucking with you.
Not at all, I have heard of people using Dr. Pepper actually. I think I even read about it in a HT issue in the old "Ask Ed" section. Just as a carb/sugar additive of course.

As far as honey goes though, I have no idea.

Have you checked nurseries for plant molasses? It's $13 for a gallon around here. Honey sounds like and expensive way to go. I guess if you have it and want to use it, it would work. It would supply carbs/sugars... but molasses has other minerals in it doesn't it(?)

I believe it does contain some micro nutrients yes. As to what exactly I couldn't tell you though.

Honey is fine to use and even better than molases wich is a by product. Honey if you break it down is made from different plants with different nutrients. It was once known as a healing food, many referrences in the bible some dude lived on wild honey, it was used in the world wars until anticeptics were used to treat wounds. It would be places over the severed limbs or bullet wounds. I would use raw honey which is straight from the hive and not heated up. It contains many naturally occuring elements from mother nature, the food of the gods as it was once called. Fuck Molasses that shit fucked up everyone of my grows that I used it on. Fucking snake oil bullshit. Even raw ass sugar is fine to feed carbs to the micro herd and to the plant.

You gave nothing but opinions on why honey is better for people to eat. We're talking about feeding it to plants here.
I don't know how you were able to fuck up giving your plants molasses, but it seems like for every person I hear of that had problems trying to feed their plants molasses I hear from fifty others that have successfully used it. So, OP, I'd take this guys opinions with a grain of salt.

I add molasses and compost tea to my water throughout my cycle to keep a healthy microbe population in my soil. Personally, I've been really happy with the results.

And, a fable in the bible about a guy living on honey?!? Maybe if I found a fairy tale about someone eating apples then shitting out gold bricks, then we ought to all start feeding our plants apples?

The purpose was to inform a fellow member that if its honey he has its honey he can use.
The reason I listed the uses of honey was to give everyone a little background on honey and bees, basically that they collect pollen from different plants which have a different chemical make up thus giving a honey a well rounded micro nutrient make up. And to top that off its great for human consumption.
But its obvious this went over your simple mind leaving you to ask for further clarification.
Oh but I forgot that your simple mind started getting lippy spitting off at the mouth about the line about the bible, plain and simple if you couldnt use that info read it and move on

Back to the honey, google its make up and youll see that its also useful for growing.
Regarding Molases be careful quite a few users have had real problems with it botching up ph and nutrient up take in their soil. After two years of growing I have decided not to try this time around because its also done some fuck shit on the plants I use it on, I would love it would work but for me it doesnt :-(

I'm not at all interested in a pissing match with a kid on forum. I just brought molasses up because it's cheaper and it's supposed to have other minerals (not just carbs).
And, that was the main reason I brought it up - I wondered if honey had the minerals.
You're the one that got his panties in a wad about my post (which was me just trying to help) 'Fucking snake oil bullshit'.
Your last post was the first time you mentioned honey having so many micro nutrients. You DID NOT mention it in the post I responded to - you only explained how good it is to eat.

If its true that people used honey in the past for its antiseptic properties wouldn't that mean that it might destroy your micro heard?
