Hose end sprayer troubles!!!!

I’ve used hose-end sprayers for years, but the last years there hasn’t been one that works.

First, we had the mix type. They were a bit more trouble than the mix itself kind I’ve been trying. At least the old ones sprayed out what was in it. The newer type that mixes itself has more problems. I have been unsuccessful in trying different ones & spent too much money on them. The ones that do not need mixing tend to not spray anything except water. ….

the last one I bought is different. You put an amount in there. It fills with water to mix & DOES spray….Unfortunately, the concentrated mix gets diluted as you go, ending up with just water. So, I have no way to know when it gets too weak to use…..definitely not ideal. Now, it also leaks all over & leaks mixture, where the part coming out at the spray head looks undiluted—-just water. My plants are suffering .

I know the in-line type would work, however I need something to spray the leaves anyway…..

Does anyone know of a good one?

thanks in advance!

I've always had good luck with the hose end sprayers with the dial to set the mix amount, but you do have to watch when it starts to get low and re-fill it. Depending of how much area you have to spray, the 2 gallon "Hudson" type pump sprayers that you mix yourself also work pretty well.

Thanks. I’ve tried hose-end Hudson sprayers. The pumps I’ve tried are too much for me, as they are heavy & I have about 30 plants, so.

we’ll see

Pump sprayers work good just make sure you rinse them well after each spraying.
Pump sprayers have been too much work for me as they are heavy & I have about 30 plants. I’m 71, have been chronically ill for 40+ years & am weak……yeah, it makes it harder.

i posted about this a couple of years ago & didn’t get any responses for any GOOD hose-end sprayers. I guess they don’t make them anymore……?

My son has a battery powered hand sprayer that he likes. I Googled them and found that they come in all different sizes, and some with wheels.

I used his sprayer a couple of years ago and found it to be good. Easy to use. It was a lot easier than dragging a hose around.

My favorite one is a half gallon hand pump sprayer that I got from the dollar store for about $5.00.

I was 71 a very long time ago so I have to keep thing as easy as possible.
