How accurate does the cycle of light have to be?

If your meant to turn on the lights at the same time each day does it matter how accurate you are. say you turn the lights on at 9am or something, does it matter if you do it at like, 8:30, 8:45 or 9:45 or something?

you can get a timer for like $5. Much easier

well... im from england so $5 doesnt mean anything to me, and i dont know where to get one from.

and that... doesn't really answer my question.

15-30 min give or take shouldn't really matter. But never interupt the dark cycle.
HardWare store, Lighting store, Lots of places have them,
5-10pounds hows that
