hey hey, 3 days since i took the clippings, used the root hormon stuff and been misting them with water 1-2 times a day, every day their leaves have been drooping a little more, and not the leaves are starting to get a brownish discoloration, is this the normal amount of stress they encounter?

They look too wet to me. Is there water in the peat pot that gushes out when you squeeze it lightly or does it feel heavy like a rock??

Are they in the open air or in a tub...dome...etc.?

Temps? How close is the light and what kinda light is it?

Have you done anything else to em ya need to report? (ferts, pH adj, etc?)

The above info may help folks help you zone in on what's going on.

good luck

just using bottled water to spray em, and they are in a dome, i have another one of those plastic bowls they are sitting in on top covering them as well and ya some water dripped out when i squeezed the peat, temps are room tempy, and theyre about a foot beneath the light, but i got 6 CFLs in a fairly small and reflective box so i think theres tons

Looks like just below Federal levels here, Shaman! wink..wink..LOL!

I love seeing folks go for it! VERY nice. What a canopy that will be....

hoss...good call on the dome...but you shouldn't have to mist them if they are domed. In fact, I take the lid off mine every so often for 15 seconds or so and allow the exceess moisture to evap and allow some new air to get in.
If they are too wet you will get stem rot (mush) and they will fall over right where they hit the medium.

Ya want the peat ball to be semi-wet...but they need some oxygen in there too so if it's flooded they're gonna die.

I use rapidrooters or rockwool and I gently squeeze the top of the cube to send the moisture down and out the bottom if it's too wet..and that, IMO, helps to ward off the stem nasties. In short...if it's major wet right around the stem at the top of the cube it isn't good....and likewise..if the cube is sitting in water it isn't good.

good luck

Ya MON, shaman! I see you are about to put the magic together and make BIG tings happen! All the best to ya in your quest!

hoss...7 days for me on average in rapidrooters...about 14 or so until i transplant 'em. If you don't see *roots* in 21 days...my rule is that things are unlikely to take and there won't be much vigor in that plant for quite awhile even if it does root.

Were those soft cuttings or kinda hard and woody feeling cuttings?

good luck

I use peat pucks and they take 4- 14day for me. Nice MAGIC BEAN plant. I hate the term BAGSEED people tend to cringe when you say it. That's why I say MAGIC BEAN'S. Not saying you are growing bean's or it's stringy.
