Long time reader/lurker. First grow so I thought I'd show everybody the fruits of my labor so far. This is my budget indoor grow. I believe I'm doing well, other then a little heat stress. Please let me know anything I may not be seeing. Thank you :leaf: 1000 watt HPS, 5 candy kush and 5 auto pounders in 3 gal pots. Fox Farms Happy Frog 40%, Ocean Forest 40%, Petrel Big and chunky 20%. Day 32 since planting germinated seeds in first and final pots.

Thank you. I wasn't too sure. Seen a lot of bud and a lot of pictures, but its nothing like having the real thing living growing

Can you get the light closer? They look a little stretchy in some photos, in other photos they don't. Aside from that they look healthy and happy.

Thank you Bucannabis. Greenlikeamonkey, I have them as close as I can without causing more heat stress. Temps reaching 109 F where I'm at. Night temps are solid 65 F though. I'll be adding an AC to help the in/outtake fans during these hotter times. Also the 5 candy kush are staying squatter, while all 5 auto pounders have shot up. I believe the auto pounders are sativa dominate. Defiantly going to do a scrog my second time round bongsmilie

Don't want airy buds, but I'm pretty sure I'll have a window mount AC unit in a few days. And I will keep posting. Going to do my first grow journal on 2nd run. Some Ultra Lemon Haze and Trans Siberian. Should come out much better :bigjoint:

Hello all! Thanks for all the great advise. I've moved them into an AC location. 24 hrs later they are doing much better. Question though... Running a 1000 watt over 10 square feet. It's hovering at 5 feet and is about 15 inches from the tops of the girls. The highest temps getting is 85 F. Is this optimal lumens and watts per square foot? Not sure if I'm doing this right but 140,000 lumens so its about 14,000 lumens a square foot and 100 watts per square foot. Is this ok? Am I over doing it?

Here some pics from day 60(which would be July 31) since planting germinated seeds. I am not sure if as of right now a few of my girls are ready to harvest. Will be adding some more pics later for input on whether ready to harvest or how far along they are. I think they look good for first grow. Kind of sad they may be chopped down soon  5 auto pounders, reeking of diesel fuel very sharp and 5 Candy Kush, reeking of purp/skittles/hashIMG_0283.jpgIMG_0297.jpgIMG_0299.jpgIMG_0300.jpgIMG_0301.jpgIMG_0291.jpgIMG_0292.jpgIMG_0293.jpgIMG_0294.jpgIMG_0295.jpgIMG_0296.jpgIMG_0284.jpgIMG_0285.jpgIMG_0286.jpgIMG_0287.jpgIMG_0288.jpgIMG_0289.jpgIMG_0290.jpg

Yes they ended up stretching on me do to temps had to keep light further then would of liked. Though since then I have added AC and temps stay between 65 and 80. Got the light hugged up on the girls now. No burns and they slowed down vertical growth and buds began to swell. Thank you guys for all the help. Will be posting some pics in next few days to help determine good harvest time frame.
