They look healthy enough, but get a small oscillating fan on them the stems look very weedy.

Thanks for your reply - the stems actually look weedier in the pic than in person - I have had a fan on them since they germinated as thought I'd strengthen them up before putting into the cutting board... they're actually quite 'woody' now - the pics don't do them justice!

Fair enough, your lights not low enough then because they're stretching.

They look good man... a little stretching, but over all good... Lower your light a little and get some side lighting for the new veg growth that will be filling in soon... Peace

ok I have the lights ( 2 x 55w fluros) approx 3 inches from top of the plants is this ok?
That sounds just about right!! Just do a test by putting your hand at the top of the plants and make sure there isn't too much heat. You should be fine putting it closer considering they are fluros. Good luck with the grow!

Great! thanks man, don't wanna torch these babies! The heat is bearble for my hand no probs so I assume the plants will be fine as they are only fluros - so basically they can stay approx 3 inches or so above the plant as & when it grows...?

nice, I was going to mention the streching too but everyone else did already.

I use 2 27 watt cfls, one with a coke can reflector, and I keep them 1 1/2" above my 4 day old plant [since it came out of the ground]. No streching the way it is now, the first two sets of leafs started about 1/2 - 3/4" up the stem.

Yes I left mine in the dark a day too long when they were germinating & was too worried to re-pot at that stage so just let them get on with it - thanks for the input

I have put my two healthiest WW's under my 4oow HP Sodium on April 23rd less than a week later they have doubled in size! & they are both def showing good signs of them both being females... Smelling quite a bit now too, bought a ozone ionizer from ebay for £15 & it works great I strongly recommend for a grow the size of mine or even bigger.. Anyway I'll update as & when I can...
