How bad can it get?

I have been "adapting" this grow as I go. I knew that at one point I'd be needing to ventilate, but here I am 2 weeks into flowering and the whole house reeks when I come home!!! I am setting up an emergency vent system (In-line fan going thru the floor and under the house). Temporary until I can set up a real odor control/vent system, and vent all the odor down the sewer pipe.
How far can you smell budding plants? I am worried that soon you'll be able to smell it on the street if I leave it vented under the house.
Am I liable to stink up the neighborhood? My house sits about 80 feet from the road at the nearest point. Can you smell it from that far away? Enough to get a sense of where its coming from?

na probably not dude, you should be fine, get heaps of fans and air freshener like one of the ones you can leave on all day while your gone. My house is far away from people so I just let the smell through my house. i love it.

I dont know why anybody would say you should be ok as you are,thats nuts to me.

Venting under your house without some form of odor control is near insanity & just asking to get caught,air fresheners are a waste of time & cash,the smell will be mango or lemon weed smell,police,mailmen,water dept & electric company personal know that smell very well,and the smell will get worse,stronger & more pundgent with each passing day.

You also need to sit back & think about your plan to vent through a soil pipe in the plumbing system,how many homes have you seen where the soil pipe's are steaming 24/7 ?,thats exactly what you'll end up with should you chose to vent through a pipe.

We all love the smell of fresh buds but to ignore it or push the smell through the entire home is the worst thing you can ever do,what you need to do is to eleminate all odor,that can be accomplished with carbon filters or ozone generators,these are the only 2 methods that are 99% fool proof.

The thing thats so dangerous & tricky about the smell is that before long you get used to the smell,then as you get used to it the severity of the smell seems less & less until you can barely smell it at all,trust me on this, a non grower will smell that shit 10 houses away when a light breeze pushes that funk right into their back yard.

People who smoke ciggerettes experience this,they think their home smells just fine but a non smoker can smell that shit as soon as they come to the door,weed is 100 times worse,dont be foolish or try to get off cheap,spend $200 & get a proper filtration system in place asap,wishing for the best is a bad approach.

yea yo i dub that with panhead, if your grow is serious enough for real smell then just either make a CARBON scrubber or buy one, fuckit and yea who on this site dislikes the smell of dope
