How big reservoir for 24 plants in a SOG setup?

So I'm planning a new setup with 24 plants in a SOG in soil. I want to use a drip watering system with a reservoir but uncertain on how big the reservoir should be. I hope to avoid filling it, ideally for the plants entire life cycle, but definitely not more than once.
So how big does the tank need to be for that?
I have a 400l (105 gallons) one, is that enough?

Umm once a week it’ll probably have to be filled.

I run 8 plants with a 55 gallon reservoir and I fill it every 4 days.
 
You could make it last a couple weeks max if growing in soil on a slow drip, never with drain to waste coco or rockwol.

Any reason you want to run 24 plants in a 5x5 tent?
I have two drip systems for 12 plants each. Not locked on it, just trying to get an overview and plan.
Open for other suggestions.
But would still like to know what size the reservoir has to be so I won't need to refill it that often.
 
I used a 45 gallon reservoir for my 4x4 flood and drain system for years, at one point I left my grow for 9 days and the system was at the bottom but the plants were still happy and healthy. That was a recirculating system so it’s hard to compare usage though.

You could make it last a couple weeks max if growing in soil on a slow drip, never with drain to waste coco or rockwol.

Small plant SOG growing is one of the most efficient ways to get yields in the least amount of time once you have clones to work from. I used to run 45ish plants in a 4x4 flood tray, it worked great.

Autofill reservoir 50-100 gallons. Simple float valve hooked up to an RO system.

It's not good practice to leave a reservoir for more than 7 days. You're talking 75-90 days. Without adding a bunch of chemicals that will kill your soil biology, or spending $2000 you're not keeping that clean. I can only assume you're "feeding" water only from this reservoir.

You could be talking upwards of 400 gallons of water for the grow start to finish. That's as much weight as a compact car.

Water only yes. Will use organic fertilized compost. May feed with extra if needed every once in a while. The tank will be placed outside protected from sun and weather.
Maybe a 200 gallon tank and refill it once can work?

Realize it's far from ideal. But this will be a grow I won't be able to check up on that much.

Is this an outdoor grow?
 
Ok this makes more sense then lol. I was going to call you retarded. Checking a grow twice for indoor? JEEZ thats danger city lol.

If you could bury the tank and keep it cool it will help. If you keep light and air out of the tank it will help it. But I'd still be concerned about algae growth blocking drippers.

Would still love for someone to give me some numbers. 200 gallons getting refilled 1-2 times enough?
And I'm considering using humic acid and/or hydrogen peroxide in the reservoar to help fight algea.
