How can I help my state legalize cannabis?

I am looking into ways to help the fight against the legalization of cannabis in my home state of Louisiana. I have found several news articles about whats going on recently in the capital.

They are obviously discussing things now due to the states large debt, so as of now is entirely money drivin. Is there anything I can do or put together to help some of these guys make up their mind? I know it involves A TON of footwork but it will be worth it in the end!

I'd contact my local NORML chapter.

Easy.

Grow a shit ton of marihuana. Find out who votes on these bills in your state senate. Plant pounds of marihuana at their homes and blackmail them.

Propose
Legal to grow and possess.
Illegal to sell
Like homebrewing

I am all for the sale and taxation of cannabis. That is actually what is going to get our state on board, as I stated above, we are $850 million+ in debt. The only reason they are currently considering it is because of our debt. They are enticed by Colorado's $900 million on taxes in 2015.

The best way is to grow as much as you can, pass on the knowledge n encourage others to grow as much as they can.

Im all for that too...by the way whats your contact info so I can get in touch with you about my bail and lawyer fees. LOL :bigjoint:

JK. I am in the process of doing so. I am sick of wasting large amounts of money on SH%t i dont know what it is, where it came from or anything. Dealers make up names, tell you its great, blah blah blah. At least if I grow it myself I know the genetics, thc content, etc. Also my uncle has prostate cancer which also got me started with growing. He needed high CBD strains but with no medicinal clinics he has NO way of getting what he needs. :-|

Grow multiple patches, Cops don't have the manpower to sit on a grow site n wait..they chop em down if they stumble upon one..

Gotta get a Bill on the Ballot. The only way to circumvent the Feds. is to Vote a Bill into law. Co. and Wa. did it so it`s doable.

You got to get a lot of sigs. on a Petition.

Ok
Instead of taking baby steps. Demand full legalization, Sales and taxation and watch everyone fight over the money.

I mean it took like 30 years to get something like that passed in Colorado.

I'm sure an liberal state like Louisiana will go for it on the first ballot

The, only place it has been tried is Washington DC.
Guess what it passed with overwhelming support.

"So the law that ultimately went into effect was the result of a weird sort of stalemate. Instead of a cannabis utopia, we got something more akin to status quo: You can have up to two ounces, grow up to six plants, and gift it to your friends, but not sell it, buy it, or smoke it anywhere but in a home where the owner permits it. If you’re on federal land, roughly a third of the city, you can still be arrested for possessing it. And if you’re a federal employee — and sometimes it feels like everyone in this city is or is partnered with someone who is — it’s still totally off limits."

Yeah, it sounds grrreeeeeeaaaattttt!!!
