how can i strengthen my stems???

heeyy ive just started a couple plants from seed and are about 5 days old. they seem to be doing okay but i was wondering if someone had a good solution for strengthening/ thickening stems other than with a fan. any help would be great.

You really need to get a fan even a lil computer fan would do for now also keep your lights as close as possible, there's probaly nutes to help is well!

like was said moving air is the best thing for them.... it cause microscopic breaks that get mended and strengthen and fatten the stem...

alright thanks. i have a fan i was just wondering wat else would do it. and another problem is that i cant have the light too close cuz it gives off a lot of heat

u can also manually work the stems by bending one way then back the other a few times every few days.

its like excercise for ur plant.

these are supposed to end up outside. i have them under a 65 watt flood light. and then one by itself under a 25 watt cfl. its doin the best. so the stems will obviously get thicker rite??

I would nix the flood lamp. They're notorious for focusing heat on plants.Switch it out for some more CFLs. 6500k for a couple of weeks (or 3) then move outdoors.

Dude dont stress about it they will strengthen in time, there only 5 days old, obviously the fan will help lol and plant exercises what kremnon said sounds good lol next you will be taking it out for a jog,
