How do i hook up the lights?

I have 5, 26W CFL energy saver lights, this is my first grow. What would i hook the lights to so that they get power? I wanted to put them in a lid of a tote. Im sorry for the stupid questions, im trying my best

what are you using to grow in? I've seen clamp lights used, or the lights hung from a rubbermaid lid... you could use splitters from one outlet to conserve space...

Try an electrical outlet

buy a book on how to do electric. i dont mean to be a dick but the answer to that question is so basic and you dont know it so you need to start from the beginning so a book with pic and diagrames writen for beginers is what you need. i will be glad to help you but you need to do the basics so you dont kill yourself or burn your home down. electricity is nothing to fool with. the book is cheap and available at homedepot,lowes or any major book store or even a library

You need to use a wire with an electrical outlet plug and strip the wires, you need to buy lamp socket holder and it will tell you to attach + and - to its correct spots. If you are setting up more than one CFL you will need to connect the sockets in parallel.

Actually i might just get this already set up grow light with a rig to hold it up

Go to a used building supply like habitat for humanity. Get an old bathroom light strip and put a plug on it. You can mount it with zip ties. I bought two of em for my veg room for $2 ea.
