how do i top my plants?

how do i top my plants and when? i heard about it through here..does anybody have a video or some pics? please help. i wanna make the best out of my first grow

I am on my first grow too and was just reading up on it.

use a scissor,knife, or razor and cut the shoot in the middle of an internode (midway between the growing shoot and the next pair of leaves below. and don't clip untill you have at least three leaf pairs). happy growing
