How do you break up your pot?

Another thread got me thinking.

How do you break up your pot? In college I hand picked my pot until I saw my first hand grinder.

Bought a "Sweetstone" metal 4 piece but I took the keif screen out so it is a 3 piece now. It is a little small but it works well.

So what do you use? If you want to upgrade what do you want to upgrade to?

Growing up before we all had our own houses it was illogical to carry a grinder around every where so we just used our hands and fingers but when got my own place a few years back I bought a grinder.....



This things lasted me almost 6 years now its a "diamond grind" grinder....thing works wonders

ya i use a similiar 3 chamber grinder with the kief stash on the bottom.. so times i jsut use my gold old hands tho

I like to break up high ends with my hands if I only do a bowl worth, I like putting shitty weed and mid grades through my pollinator grinder. Occasionally if I get really dense weed I use a motor and pastel.

i use a similar grinder its a nightmare trying 2 find 1 that works properly, theres so much shit 2 buy nowadays, but sumtimes u cant beat getting ya hands working, oohh and by the way im new 2 roll it up could any1 tel me how 2 make your own post???

My grinder has two chambers.
One chamber for the grinded weed, and the other chamber for keif.
I collect all the keif from the grinder and put it into my keif press.
After filling my keif press about 15 times, I smoke it. Nothing better

if so, when you are in the toke n' toke section. at the top left you will see a "new thread" box.. that's what you need to click

Word. Ya, nice thread! I've heard breaking up with ur hands gets keif/THC on your hands, wasting some. But also heard grinding weed makes the bowl/pipe burn faster. Personally, i love grinders, keeps shit clean. And i can scrap it if im in a bind! check out www.halfbakedgoods.net. Got one from there, Sharpstone 3 chamber for 20 bucks. A steal in my opinion.

I HATE GRINDERS. Its like abusing the weed. All my friends say I Take the longest to roll blunts, but mine always look and smoke AMAZINGLY, Im so proud of that :mrgreen:. Well for a bowl, I break the weed down into course granules using the TIPS of my thumb and Index finger. When the consistancy is right, pack that shit. If you want a bowl that stays lit, never put large, intact buds into te bowl. For a blunt, I still use the thumb and index but the weed is broken down in small crumbs and flakes(smaller than the granules). Along the way making sure to remove seeds and any hard, sharp stems that could potentialy poke a hole in the blunt...:evil: . In addition to grinders, I hate seeing people "roll" the weed in between their fingers like they're sprinkling salt, to break it up. Then you look at their hand and they have a thick layer of trichomes(that u could have smoked) stuck to his fucking fingers. I know a few trichomes dont make much of a differnce but still, thats just a little extra "buzz" you just wasted.

That is basically what I have. The holes in mine are all circular. I want to get something bigger / more solid.

I cant remember the name of the one that I like. I want to say it is "Mondo" but I cant find anything like that on google. It is thick metal with a bevel on the side.

I do not use a grinder...I've never really had a need for one, I just break shit up with my fingers and load into wherever it needs to be. I've never been in a situation when I said, damn this or that would've been so much better if I would've had a grinder. My beststoner buddy swears by them, but they're not really for me.
