I use hooks and chains because my ballast is built into the light and it's too heavy for anything else.

i know how to hang hid's pretty good but i just wanted some other ideas besides the chain and hook or rope method i wana see how people r hanging there fleuros cus i got sum free fleuroescents and wana use the for autos possibly

Use a multi-place bathroom vanity fixture to hold your lights. You can screw in splitters and double the amount of lights.

I have one 400w that's the whole kit with yo yo hangers..
And then there's this guy...
Random parts I put together, got a old hydrofarm ballast from a friend (430w hps)
just had to find a socket, then buy a bulb, then figure out a way to rig it all...
Found these parts in a pile of scraps and made an adjustable light hanger...
Now I just need to build a reflector.
