How far should I hang a 300watt(180) cfl from the canopy ?

These 300watt but actual 180 cfl bulbs are massive. hanging 6" above canopy quickly shows heat stress. I need to add more fans but it's only hovering at 29-30degrees c so a fan isn't going to change the intensity lux is about 80000

At what height should I be hanging these bulbs ?
