This is how I germ. I was bored and figure what the heck. Its always a newbie wanting to know how to do this. The 4th pic is how i germ my beans. I soak them in a glass of water for 24-48hrs till I see that the bean has cracked open. 2nd I cut holes in the bottom of cup with knife like you see in photo 1. 3rd I fill the cup about 3/4 they way with some good soil. I just started using Light Warrior and LOVE THIS STUFF. I buy a 2 gallon bag from amazon just for seedlings nothing else. 2 gallon bag I can fill 15 cups 3/4ths up. 4th I spray the top layer of soil about 4 good times (NEVER WATER TILL YOU GET DRAINAGE DURING SEEDLING STAGE) then place bean about 1/4th of a inch into the soil. Then put plastic wrap on top and place rubber band around to keep plastic in place. After about 2days the bean will break the top. When you see the first set of leaves take plastic off and dont water till the next day or whenever top layer look dry which should not be no longer then 2days. Last for the first 1.5 week I give ladies 1TBS of water around stem at the beg of lights on everyday. Thats just enough for them to last the day. 2nd Photo is how it looks after TBS watering and 3rd pic is seedling 1 week after soil break. I start watering till I get run off when the ladies have about 3 nodes and I dont water till cup is dry. Take and fill one cup up with dry soil 3/4 the way so you will have something to compare weight to. You will get a good fill on when your ladies need some water. Ladies can last the first 3weeks in cups. I normally transplant when they are ready for first feeding
