How is this possible?

I had to go away on business for 5 days. I topped up my dwc/drip reservoir, and did as much as I could in advance before leaving my ladies, who are on week 2 of flowering.

My first day there, I find out that the circuit breaker had tripped thanks to an electric storm and my ladies are now without an aerated solution, no drip and no lights. I'm 1000 miles away.

I get back 5 days later, and sure enough, my grow room is in darkness. I flipped the breaker on, the lights came up, I was expecting a mess.

They look better than when I left?! They've grown about 2-3 inches and look... perfect..

What the hell? Should I be expecting them to drop dead any minute now?

plants couldn't use up the water/nutes in the soil since the lights were off and so no power was delivered to the plants too;)

your statement that the look better/heather then before marveled me a bit. could it be that you got a bit heat stress in your grow due to close placement of lights?;)

and how do you know that they gotten no light for 5 days, did you see the breaker switch off???

No, they were not under heat stress - I can hold my hand comfortably - I'm about 10" from 400w HPS (w/ cooltube & exhaust).

The circuit is shared by some computers - I knew those computers went down because my pager wouldn't shut up for hours. The breaker definitely tripped at 7:40pm EST on Wednesday.. I got home about 2 hours ago.

Man, this is freaking me out... could there be some sort of delayed reaction?

I mean... 100+ hours of dark, cold (lowest recorded temp was 60F), and no air pump? There *has* to be some sort of consequence to this surely? Maybe they won't flower?

years ago, when i start to grow with no info or knowledge on my hands a screwed up several grows severely judged by my todays knowledge and they still made it somehow. cannabis and especially indica strains are incredible tough takers, but done bet to much on this, they are mortal too:roll:
but is just cool to see how lucky you are;) from now on keep 'em green:-D

They will prob be ok as long as they had water.
This would be considered stress.
It may stunt growth and might effect the bud output.
If It got too hot I would say you might be getting hermies.

As long as they are still alive you should be ok.
