to worry about male flowers causing problems. i have some showing up on my aurora that will be 9 weeks feb 12. they showed themselfs around week 7 but really haven't seemed to open up. some plants will be ready this weekend others may need another week. should i be concerned or just let them finish? thanks.

It depends what you want the males to do. I yank them as soon as i can identify because i dont want to keep them. It takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks from appearance to opening. You can let them grow if you want to pollenate your plants. You wont need a whole live plant to do so. Just a branch kept in a cup of water will do the trick.

I do chop up the male plants leaves and dry them for stupid throw away joints.

guess maybe i didn't make myself clear. they aren't really male flowers i guess, just the small banana type leaves poking off a couple of buds that are going to be ready between this weekend and next weekend. my concern is if i let the plants go another week i'm not going to end up with a load of seed am i ? i have seen no sign of them opening up or anything and have checked a few of the buds with tweezers and found no seeds. my first grow and i really don't want it to end up seeded. here is what they looked like at week 8. just trying to decide if i should take them all this weekend or let them finish out.
