I just recently had a harvest, an i want to do some experimenting with cooking. I was curious, how long should i left the bud dry/cure before cooking/making cannabutter with it should i wait.. is it fine as soon as it is done air drying? .. is there a recommended cure time? .. i noticed when you quick dry on a heater it definitly isnt done if let a minium of 24 hours before igniting.. an i was curious if letting it cure a minimum of a week.. or would i be okay if i jus pull the plant, trim/manicure, 2-4 days air dry and its good to go.. any input in great! thank you

I have used fresh before.. all depends on what your making...

you can take fresh trim freeze it... then do an ISO or cold water hash rinse

curing is really for smoking... Decarbing is for cooking...

Im water curing all my popcorn buds and trim so i can make butter..7 days in RO water and 1-2 days drying...supposed to give ur edibles a more pure taste vs that fresh plant taste...but it can be done either way

Decarbing and curing both accomplish the task of converting THCA to THC. With fresh trim, I decarb in the oven at 170 degrees for about an hour in a covered ceramic casserole. At 30 minutes I take it out, let it cool before opening the lid (don't want to lose any THC in the steam/fumes), give it a stir, and then put it back in for another 25-30 until it's "crispy" but still greenish.

That's what I use to make canna olive oil, which is the basis of many heart healthier edibles! Salad dressings, tapas, etc.

Cannabis has to be heated to 180 degrees in order to make any edible form of it, so 170 is way to low just fyi. Try 240 for an hour, taking it out every 15 minutes (3 times total) next time, and your mind will be blown.. literally.
