How long does pollen remain viable in a grow space?

My plant hermied bad towards the end, it had more wieners than an Oscar Myer convention. I'm getting ready to start my next project soon & I don't want it pollinated. I'm sure it got everywhere, and while I can clean the space a bit, there's no way I'm going to get it all. Should I burn my house down, or will I be ok?

Thanks,
Lo B

How long has it been? I would soap and water that place any way, even without the pollen its good to keep a good clean grow space. You should also clean out your fans and anything around your vents since they are the prime areas to catch/store the pollen.

Just be sure to clean the area, and fill a spray bottle with water and mist the whole room. Once wet, the pollen is not viable.

towards the end sounds like it could have been a female that got streout - not a herm if so pollen will produe femed seeds

if a true herm pollen will produce herms

Thanks for the link. It's too bad coworker23 never came back to update their results. I'm going to vacuum as much as I can and try to spray everything with denatured alcohol. I've read pollen (not specific to cannabis) can remain viable for years. I'll bet it's all through the house. I guess I'll find out soon enough.
Thanks, everyone.
