I have some AK-48s that have been vegged for 8 weeks and just finished the first week of flowering. One appears to be showing male now and I was thinking of keeping it in another room (far away from grow) until I can collect some pollen from it. How long would it take for it to mature enough to make usable pollen? If I were to do a "Q-tip insemination" of one or two lower buds on a female AK-48, would that lessen potency of the whole plant, or just the seeded buds? How many seeds could I expect to get from one pollinated bud - 5, 10, 20 or more? Is it worth it to keep the male alive long enough to do this, and do I need to do more than just basic care to keep it going - is it going to need flower nutes to make the pollen, or will water and lights be enough?
