With 8 flowering plants and a drying closet in the room with 1 or 2 plants in it on and off. I read to shake the filter to loosen up the Carbon and it will expose more of the surface area. My 6" phresh filter has lasted over 2 years and so did the one before it. With 8 flowering plants and a drying closet in the room with 1 or 2 plants in it on and off. I read to shake the filter to loosen up the Carbon and it will expose more of the surface area. It is packed completely when it starts to leak smell.
