How many days from germ to sprout?

I just planted my germinated seeds about 1/2 to 3/4 inch under moist soil. I have the lights on 18 and off 6 hours a day. How many days will it be before I can see the fruit of my labour?

Also, does anyone else have any problems with the search function? I can search for cannabis and it still says no results, which I find a little bit odd.

If you did not pre-soak the seeds, about 4 or 5 days.

To do a search, go to Google.com, and add the words " rollitup.org " to the search, separated by a comma.

The search engine here is broke down. .

It takes 2 days for my seeds to sprout but I use a seed starter rockwool inside soil. Takes 3-5 for my normal soil setup. Just remember, the darker the seed, the better.

Not sure if his way works, but you can type "topping site:rollitup.org" in google and it will search for all threads containing topping

In my opinion you planted your popped beans to deep. I plant mine about one quarter of an inch and they almost always pop through the surface in 2 to 3 days and I never pre-soak my beans. When I did in the past plant deeper they took several days longer and they did not turn into better stronger faster growing plants because they started out with another quarter of an inch or so deep root structure.

Something else that can factor in is if you are watering them the temperature of your water can and will make a difference. Many people never consider it or do not know it but cold water provides a nasty shock to the sprouting seeds, adding stress and possibly delay sprouting so if someone has to water before their popped beans break the surface because the surface soil is drying out they should not use cold water. It shouldn’t be hot but just regular tap water can be to cold for sprouting beans so just ever so slightly warm water, like around room temperature, is the way to go.

Thanks for the tips, I found one of the seeds and put it up closer to the top. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost the other one lol. Even spreading the soil over tinfoil and searching for about an hour and 1/2 turned up nothing. I'll see how that one turns out... if it's even in there?

The water I have been using is room temperature so that's good news!
