how many plants for a 270w hps?

ive read its ussally best to have 100w per plant. well i only have a 270w at the moment and have about 13 plants growing in my tent. obviously i cannot keep all of them and wasn't planning to...but i got an unusually high number of femailes(11) looks like. i was initially planning on growing 5 but now im thinking more like six. i wanted to know what the effects would be of growing lots of plants with minimal light. also of the 6 plants i would be selecting, which would be bigger yeilders tall thin(less leafy) plants, or shorter, bushier ones? and what should i do about the ones i do not select? they are already in flowering and i could put them out on my balcony since its spring but i dont know what the effect of that would be on the plants...

i would keep all those females man and just chuck those sluts into 2gallon pots.. or keep like 8 and put them into 3 gallon pots , they general rule of thumb is the more plants the bigger the yeild. im in the same boat as u and ive just purchased a 1metre x 1meter x 1.8metre tall tent and ive got 13 plants at 7 days old im thinking ill probly get like 7 females so im just going to squeze them in with my 250 hps , im thinkingi might get a 400 hps ill see how they go
