Through out the growing process is there a set amount of times you should water a day? or is it just whenever the soil looks dry?

When the soil is dry time to water. But not too dry! it should be moist about 1/3 in down in soil.

Water when the soil is dry, lighter in colour and stick your finger right down to tell if it needs water. Depending on the size of pot and temps. Maybe every 4 to 6 days for watering.

I flood them once a week and then just give them sips as needed by looking at the soil and picking up the pots to see if they are light or heavy.
I believe that giving them sips in this manner helps to get them to produce more trics and resin from being drier most of the time.
It also helps to stop the soil from souring and gives better aeration to the roots
