How much cfl?

Alright guys just a lil question for ya, what wattage of CFL would be good to veg on 10 females over a 3/4 week period? When im ready to flower im gonna be using a 600w HPS just incase that helps in any way?!

Looking forward to hearing some opinions!

a shit ton of 26 watters or a half shit ton of 42watters, but if u already have the HPS just use that, itll put out way nore lumens than cfls and theyll veg just fine under it

BTW im not tryin 2 diss CFLs as that is what i use but only 2 plants, 10 is a little much for cfls

AGREED... 2 PLANTS IS perfect for cfl...

If you want to veg a lot, go to home depot and buy some 4ft t8 shop fixtures w/6500k bulbs for vegging. I use 3 fixtures to start with. Then when they start getting too big I add a fourth.

I thought that a 150/200W blue spectrum CFL would of been more then enough to veg 10 plants for 3/4 weeks? Obviously its gonna be in a reflector also which is gonna add benefit.....?

10 is a bit much for cfls. If you have reflectors and can spread them out you will be ok if you did your wattage research. An enclosed box with mylar or white walls will help a ton too. See what happens and post some pics.

cheers ppl, im gonna do abit of research and find out whats gonna be best option. Ill let you's know how the crop comes out with some pictures and shit!
