How much does a plant GROW during flower?

I am thinking of putting my girls into flowering right now.

They are 3 full nodes and recently topped. The 2 new tops are sprouting their first nodes.

So how much does the plant actually grow during flower?

I will need to take clones before the buds start forming, so I'll need the plants to grow a bit more. I'll use the shoots from the bottom as clones.

Any info on this?

The problem is that whenever people take pics of their grows, they do close ups of buds, so there is no way to compare sizes of when it went to flower and when it is in flower.

I was kinda under the impression that it doesn't form new nodes/leaves, just stretches

During the first 3 week the plants will bang on width and height so make sure that there is always a little space for this or the bottom harf of the plant will be candyfloss bud not dence at all.You are far better of flowering at a smaller size this way the plants will recive more light during these criticle weeks.Most growers in the uk and in other countrys grow in small areas and you will get the same ammount of bud then if you grow big.I'm not saying don't grow big but if you are then only grow 1/2 plants at most this way the plants will get optimin light.But i would say to anyone growing small spaces grow sea of green flower has soon has they have roots,well veg for a week then flower this will supprise alot of growers but by growing 20 small plants you will get at least 1 ounce a plant.Watch see more buds one of the greatest cannabis dvd's ever made.
