How much does light exposure effect potency?

I know youre supposed to keep your bud in a dark well circulated area when youre letting it dry and cure, but if you leave it sit somwhere and say one of your really bright lights comes on and it sits under it for about two hours, how much will this effect your final result, or is it a more constant exposure that changes things?

I have a friend who cures in his flowering room. in the corner, the room as 3 HPS lights and he hangs em as high as he can. I did this with half of my harvest.
