rule of thumb is no more than 1kw per room or bedroom (can't remeber which) but you should be fine with what your planning look to getting energy savings in the rest of your electric consumption if your worriedI have a 3 floor house to myself, was planning to use maybe 3-4000 watts... will i have any problems with the law enforcement?
I think what you mean to say is no more than 1000 kWh's per bedroom the house has per month. I have also heard this rule of thumb.rule of thumb is no more than 1kw per room or bedroom (can't remeber which) but you should be fine with what your planning look to getting energy savings in the rest of your electric consumption if your worried

Oddly enough it doesn't work like that.. Ballast loss, fans etc will take you up by 25% or so..With a 4kw budding system you'll use 48kwh's daily. Multiply this by $kwh and you'll know the approximate daily cost.
