perlite helps with drainage.
If you are using soil: use 2 cups soil then one cup perlite = 33% perlite

  • Water ever 3-5 days. You can tell when the soil is dry buy your first knuckle in the soil/ if it is wet then wait to water; if it's dry then water.
  • You can also tell if you plant needs watering by lifting the pot. If it is light then its time for a watering/ If it's heavy then wait until it drys out more.
(use both methods to tell if the soil is wet or dry)

If you are using CFL's, keep your light 2-6 inches away (the closer the better)
I do: 18 on / 6 off for veg
I do: 12 on / 12 off for flower

Make sure the air is circulating. Plants need fresh air. I keep my fans running 24/7.

Good luck. I suggest do all the research you can BEFORE you start. That way you are prepared when you run into problems. Remember: google has the answer to most things. USE GOOGLE, they are your friends.

Roll It Up is here if you have any questions or need clarification about the research you do.

And i need to know how much water to give it like every once and a while orwhat i dont want it tobe a lanky skinny toothpick
Water until some comes out the bottom holes then don't water again until it feels light in weight and looks dry on top. With small pots just lifting them and seeing if they feel heavy or not is the best way. And with a 75w bulb you should probably have it about a foot above the plant. Putting it closer would cause rapid drying of the soil.

With a plant thats been flowering, watering till there's runoff is fine but OP has a seedling in MG with water releasing nutes so i definitely would NOT water that much right now.
I personally water all seedlings a small amount of water with a pump sprayer.Good luck @Dtapp,please don't overwater:eyesmoke:
