Harvest when 90% of the pistils have receded into the calyx and have swelled to the point that it looks like a seed has formed. The trichomes, you will hear, are the main way of telling that the plant is mature, but this is too simplified. Most will tell you to buy a 30x scope and harvest when you get most of your trichomes to look cloudy and a few amber. But there are thousands of different strains.

The pistils will recede, the leaves will begin to curl up and yellow and the trichomes will be mostly cloudy with a few amber colored ones. You need to have all three of these factors to know that your plant is done. Its better to go an extra week than harvest a week early.

Here is the link to the Roll It Up harvesting and curing section. This is the best thread on harvesting that I have ever seen on the internet.

Look at the four pics, the first two and last two are of the same plant. The first ones show almost done and the last two show that they are definitely done. You can thank fdd2blk for this info.:joint:

Agree with most of what you said, but this part about leaves yellowing is just not true. You can keep the leaves green up until harvest and IMO you should keep them nice and green.

Yellowing usually means nitrogen deficiency, Im guessing cause you use a lot of bloom food at the end. So for you your plants always yellow, but that is not true of everyone and definitely not something to look at to determine harvest time.
