How much power can I draw from an apt. before triggering a circuit breaker?

I am currently growing in a house. I will be moving into a 2 bedroom apartment and dedicating the bigger bedroom to growing if I can support the power.

I should note that I am not worried about the landlord or power company noticing power, nor am I worried about sound or smell (got 72 hour notice before all entries, and the bedroom in the apartment I chose happens to not share any walls with other units). I am only concerned with how many Watts I can draw at one time without triggering a circuit breaker.

So I guess my question is how do apartment buildings control circuit breakers? Does each unit have its limit or is it by building? How do I tell?

Thanks!

Look up IAm5toned and shoot him a pm, he's a professional electrician and should know what you need to know, thats who i turn to if/when ive got an electrical question. I'm sorry thats all i can do to try to help, but at least if no one else responds to this thread you'll have another lead to follow towards getting your question answered.

take a look at the electrical panel.. if it says the bedroom you are growing in only has a 15 amp breaker.. than that is your answer..
once you exceed 15 amps even by 15.1 amps it will trip causing power loss.

Peace and Happy Growing
